Senior Manager, Engineering
GoGuardian is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead multiple teams in delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions aligned with the company's mission to enhance K-12 education through innovative learning tools. This high-visibility role reports directly to the VP of Engineering and offers significant influence over technical direction, team structure, and operational practices.
The Senior Manager will set clear goals, define success metrics, and ensure teams operate with focus and accountability. Responsibilities include partnering with Product and cross-functional leaders to drive prioritization, managing trade-offs, and delivering impactful initiatives on time. The role also involves removing organizational and technical barriers, establishing strong development practices, and guiding architectural decisions to balance speed, scalability, and maintainability.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a strong track record of leading engineering teams delivering production-grade SaaS applications in fast-paced environments. Technical proficiency in Go and full-stack systems, experience with AWS and/or GCP, and familiarity with modern distributed systems architectures are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to influence outcomes across the organization without relying on authority.
