Senior Manager, Land & Title
The Senior Manager, Land & Title at Aypa Power plays a pivotal role in overseeing all title, mineral, and land-related activities across the company's extensive portfolio of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable projects. This position is integral to ensuring the protection of company interests and facilitating timely, compliant development outcomes. The role requires strategic oversight and leadership, contributing to cross-functional planning and maintaining consistent standards across various geographies.
Key responsibilities include managing complex title due diligence processes, coordinating title curative efforts with title companies, outside counsel, landowners, and internal stakeholders, and ensuring proper site control. The Senior Manager will evaluate title commitments, negotiate title insurance policies, and review ALTA surveys. Additionally, they will provide subject matter expertise on all title and land matters throughout the project lifecycle and track and report on land contracts and title issues.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of title review experience and hold a Bachelor's degree, with a Juris Doctor (JD) preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to work are essential. Experience in renewable energy and land acquisition is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate high initiative and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision.
