Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI
The Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, NPI at Agility Robotics will lead the development, ramp-up, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new robotic systems. This role focuses on bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring seamless integration of new products into manufacturing while driving quality, efficiency, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of new product introduction, design-for-manufacturability (DFM), and process development, combined with strong leadership and project management expertise.
Key responsibilities include owning and driving the NPI roadmap, establishing manufacturing readiness criteria, and ensuring cross-functional teams meet key milestones for product launches. The role involves leading the development and validation of manufacturing processes for new products, overseeing pilot builds, design reviews, and process qualifications to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Additionally, the manager will develop and implement robust production line layouts, workflows, and work instructions to support new product launches.
The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years in manufacturing engineering and at least 5 years in a leadership role. Candidates should have a proven track record in manufacturing, automation, or high-tech production environments, strong knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt certification preferred), and value stream mapping. Expertise in robotics assembly, integration, and testing processes, proficiency in using CAD/CAE tools and PLM systems, and a solid understanding of manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing, precision machining, and electronics integration, are also required.
Agility Robotics offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $166,000 to $215,000 USD, company stock options, and a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match.
