As Senior Manager, Renewables & Carbon Procurement at AirTrunk's Singapore headquarters, you will report to the Director of Energy & Utility and collaborate closely with the Energy and Technology team across the Asia Pacific region. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing AirTrunk's energy strategy to support the company's continued growth. Your primary focus will be on sourcing, negotiating, and executing renewable energy Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and carbon procurement for compliance markets, ensuring alignment with AirTrunk's clean energy targets, regulatory obligations, and long-term cost objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include identifying renewable energy opportunities such as solar, wind, hybrid, and storage-linked projects across APAC markets. You will build and manage relationships with developers, retailers, brokers, and other relevant stakeholders, leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bilateral negotiations for renewable offtake. Structuring and negotiating various forms of PPAs, including physical, virtual, sleeved, and portfolio structures, will be a critical part of your day-to-day activities, driving transactions from term sheet through contract signature.

In addition to renewable energy procurement, you will be responsible for sourcing and contracting International Carbon Credits (ICC) in Singapore. This involves evaluating supply credibility, understanding eligibility rules, assessing delivery risks, and negotiating carbon supply agreements while managing price and volume exposure. Your role will also encompass analyzing pricing, market benchmarks, and commercial risks for both PPAs and carbon instruments, supporting internal approvals through financial modeling and business case development, and working closely with legal, finance, risk, and sustainability teams to close potential deals.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in Energy, Engineering, Business, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in negotiating and executing PPAs and/or carbon contracts. A strong background in renewable energy markets, carbon markets, energy trading, or project development is essential. Excellent communication skills, commercial acumen, and contract negotiation abilities are required, as well as an understanding of renewable project economics and key PPA risk drivers. Familiarity with compliance carbon frameworks and regulated credit mechanisms, particularly in the context of Singapore, and the ability to manage multiple live transactions in fast-moving markets are also important.
