Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Maritime
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, reliable, and efficient production, particularly in the development and implementation of new products. The position requires close collaboration with teams across Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations to drive innovation in defense technology.
Key responsibilities include designing, documenting, and implementing efficient manufacturing processes to meet both new product development and full-rate production goals. The engineer will take ownership of products from initial prototyping through large-scale production, coordinating with internal and external parties to achieve on-time delivery under stringent quality standards. Additionally, the role involves proactively identifying production bottlenecks, developing novel tooling solutions, and embedding Design for Manufacturing principles into product design.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in process engineering for complex mechanical systems. A strong understanding of various manufacturing processes for mechanical parts and systems, as well as hardware manufacturing processes for electronics and electromechanical systems, is essential. Familiarity with hardware testing, automated systems testing, and the ability to interpret CAD data and technical documentation are also required. Personal experience in physically manufacturing hardware and a genuine interest in manufacturing are highly valued.
The salary range for this position is $146,000 to $220,000 per year, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills.
