Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer I (Onsite)
As a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer I at Axon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of our life-saving devices, including body-worn cameras and smart weapons. This position is based onsite at our Pinnacle location in Phoenix, Arizona, and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Video products.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test systems for Axon's manufacturing lines, utilizing LabVIEW and TestStand. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing—to define test strategies and implement scalable solutions. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and efficiency to meet Axon's quality and throughput goals.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. You should have over 8 years of progressive experience in test engineering, with a proven track record in developing and leading automated test solutions for electronic hardware, preferably in manufacturing environments. Advanced, hands-on experience with LabVIEW and NI TestStand is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and design custom test fixtures.
