Senior Mission Software Engineer, Surface Maritime
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mission Software Engineer to join their Surface Maritime team in Costa Mesa, California. This role involves leading the development and integration of software solutions for autonomous maritime platforms, contributing to the company's mission of transforming defense capabilities through advanced technology.
The Senior Mission Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable software that enhances the functionality of current platforms and allows for future evolution. Key duties include developing software for both onboard and offboard robotic systems, creating test and simulation fixtures, and supporting vehicle manufacturing and deployment. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. Extensive professional experience as a software engineer is required, along with proficiency in systems and application programming, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design. Experience in troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems is also essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is mandatory.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $191,000 to $253,000 per year, with actual compensation depending on factors such as experience and skills.
