Senior Revenue Manager
The Senior Revenue Manager at Axon will lead revenue accounting operations, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606. This role involves collaborating with teams such as FP&A, Commercial Controllership, IT, Professional Services, and Sales to strengthen processes and controls within a complex, multi-element revenue environment. The position is based in Denver, Colorado, with an on-site requirement of four days per week.
Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day revenue accounting activities, such as managing key revenue streams, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures. The role requires reviewing and documenting technical accounting conclusions for complex contracts involving hardware, SaaS, and professional services. Additionally, the Senior Revenue Manager will partner cross-functionally to evaluate contracts, resolve revenue issues, and optimize order-to-cash processes. They will also oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, maintain internal controls, support audits, and drive process improvements and system enhancements.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA preferred, and have over seven years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including ASC 606 experience in a publicly traded company. Strong technical expertise in complex revenue arrangements across hardware, SaaS, and professional services is essential. Experience operating in a SOX-compliant environment, supporting audits, and partnering with Sales, FP&A, IT, and Operations is required. Proficiency in ERP systems (D365 or comparable) and advanced Excel skills are necessary, with experience in automation and data tools like Sigma, Snowflake, Power BI, Salesforce, or RevStream being advantageous.
Axon offers a competitive salary ranging from $111,000 to $213,960 USD, along with a 401(k) plan with employer match.
