Axon is seeking a Senior Lead, Revenue Accounting Systems to serve as a senior accounting subject matter expert within our Revenue Accounting organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606, a strong grasp of US GAAP as applied to complex multi-element arrangements, and direct, hands-on experience operating within an accounting close environment.

This individual will represent Revenue Accounting in the design, implementation, and enhancement of Axon’s revenue accounting engine and broader quote-to-cash (QTC) ecosystem. The ability to translate accounting requirements into system solutions — having lived that process from the accounting side — is essential. Candidates who have participated in or led a revenue accounting system implementation (e.g., Zuora Revenue / RevPro, RevStream, RightRev, NetSuite ARM, or Oracle Revenue Management Cloud) while sitting in an accounting seat are strongly preferred.

This is an individual contributor role with broad cross-functional influence, reporting to the VP of Global Revenue Controller. The successful candidate will be a builder and problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of technical accounting and operational systems.

- Lead data migration activities for revenue contracts, coordinating with IT and finance to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit-readiness.
- Develop and maintain the roadmap for accounting process automation, prioritize improvement initiatives, and present plans to Finance leadership.
- Proactively identify manual accounting processes suitable for automation and lead implementation of solutions to reduce close cycle time and error risk.

- CPA license or active candidacy is strongly preferred. CMA designation or CMA (Inter) with demonstrated revenue accounting experience will also be considered.
