Senior Service Engineer
The Senior Service Engineer at Agility Robotics plays a pivotal role in executing the company's service delivery strategy, focusing on technical services such as break-fix support and help desk services. This position is essential for achieving business objectives and supporting the growth of Agility's humanoid robot, Digit.
Key responsibilities include providing engineering support for escalated issues during the repair of Digit, utilizing custom test fixtures and developing Python scripts. The role involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of Digit and its software components to develop and refine repair processes and procedures, which are documented for use by technicians both in the factory and in the field. Additionally, the engineer will develop and maintain cross-functional training, work instructions, best practices, and procedures to ensure alignment with customer needs, company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Ensuring compliance with all customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supporting preventative and predictive maintenance schedules are also key aspects of the role.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, along with over six years of relevant experience in technical support, repair, and refurbishment of complex electro-mechanical systems, preferably in robotics and automation. Proficiency in using the command line interface in Linux and experience in creating Python scripts to analyze data and determine pass/fail criteria for diagnostic tests are required. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and familiarity with metrics and KPIs for assessing product quality and reliability are essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with strong organizational and time management skills, is also important.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $166,000 USD. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, company stock options, 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance, and eligibility for benefits on the first day of employment.
