Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Space
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Space team, focusing on enhancing Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control capabilities for U.S. military and allied partners. The team is developing integrated hardware and software systems, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to address emerging threats in space and ensure a strategic advantage in this contested domain.
In this role, the engineer will be responsible for reimagining the infrastructure pipeline to transform the current rollout process into a robust test and release pipeline. This involves developing a comprehensive solution that spans from software testing to hardware deployment, transitioning from unclassified to classified environments, and managing a fleet of Kubernetes nodes. The engineer will also collaborate with software developers to identify and resolve development bottlenecks, accelerating their productivity.
The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience configuring Linux-based systems. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams are essential. A background in fields like Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics is preferred. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience deploying AWS environments using services like EC2, VPC, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, AWS Config, IAM, Load Balancers, and Cost Management. Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Rust, C++, or Python is advantageous. Experience with hardware integration testing, network topology design, IT network engineering, embedded device security, and familiarity with Nix, NixOS, or nixpkgs are also beneficial.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $166,000 to $220,000 USD, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as experience, education, and critical skills. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most full-time offers.
