Senior Software Engineer, BI
Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will leverage your full-stack software engineering expertise to develop impactful healthcare technology on a modern stack. You will provide senior-level technical leadership, oversee the architecture and delivery of core features across the Business Intelligence (BI) platform, and enhance the scalability, performance, and reliability of the front-end application that delivers BI content to clients.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include leading the technical design and architecture for complex features across the BI platform. You will own the end-to-end delivery of features, platform improvements, and system optimizations. Your role involves driving technical decisions by evaluating trade-offs and making data-informed choices, as well as architecting and building scalable cloud-based services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Additionally, you will develop REST APIs, ETL pipelines, and backend systems for analytics and reporting, and build and maintain React and TypeScript web applications and interactive dashboards.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with over six years of experience across the software development lifecycle. Strong backend experience with Python and modern web frameworks is essential, as is experience in building and scaling RESTful APIs and cloud-native systems. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Athena, and CloudWatch is required. Proficiency in frontend development with React and TypeScript/JavaScript, as well as experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB, is also necessary. A strong understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and handling large datasets is crucial.
Cohere Health offers a fully remote opportunity with approximately 5% travel. The compensation package includes a salary range of $128,000 to $145,000 annually, along with medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.
