Senior Software Engineer
Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Engineering team. In this role, you will develop and enhance critical healthcare technology that supports clinical letter generation, notification systems, and queue management for health insurance plans covering over 15 million individuals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and deploy comprehensive features and platform enhancements across cloud infrastructure and web applications. You will own the full software development lifecycle, from technical design through production deployment and monitoring. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and clinical operations, is essential to deliver high-quality user experiences for healthcare practitioners. Your responsibilities will also include supporting all layers of the platform, from database design to backend services (Java, Python, Groovy) to frontend applications (React, TypeScript).
The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in the software development lifecycle and a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Strong backend development experience using Java, Python, or Groovy is required, along with demonstrated experience building web applications with React and JavaScript. Proficiency with modern software development practices, including version control (Git), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines, is essential. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with product and design teams are also important.
This fully remote opportunity includes approximately 5% travel. The salary range for this position is $128,000 to $145,000 annually, as part of a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, flexible spending and health savings accounts, flexible time off, company holidays, up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, and pet insurance.
