Senior Software Engineer, Core Trade
DriveWealth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Trade team, focusing on building and enhancing our ultra-low latency, high-throughput trading system. As a global B2B financial technology company, we are dedicated to democratizing access to financial independence through our API-based platform, enabling partners to offer seamless investing and trading experiences worldwide.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams including trade desks, quants, product managers, risk management, and compliance to support and enhance the trading system. You will lead the technical design and delivery of greenfield Java projects, analyze engine latency and throughput to optimize performance, monitor production systems, and deliver solutions across Fixed Income, Options, and Equities asset classes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in brokerage, trading, fintech, or e-commerce, with expertise in Fixed Income and Options asset classes. Proficiency in deploying applications within AWS, strong Java fundamentals, and a solid understanding of data structures and modern software development best practices are essential. Additionally, 5+ years of experience with low latency, high throughput distributed systems, multithreading and concurrency in Java, and a thorough understanding of Java Garbage Collection are required. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of operating system and networking fundamentals, are also necessary.
Compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 USD annually, based on candidate experience and technical qualifications.
