Senior Software Engineer - Discover
GoGuardian is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Discover team, focusing on developing a robust analytics platform that enables K-12 administrators to monitor and manage educational software usage. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive architectural solutions to enhance the Discover product, which provides insights into app engagement trends and supports data-driven decisions regarding licensing and technology investments.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing high-performance backend services in Go, capable of efficiently aggregating and serving extensive usage data. The role also includes building intuitive, data-rich frontend experiences using React and Chakra UI, creating interactive dashboards and charts. Additional duties involve designing and implementing gRPC and REST APIs for real-time data access, optimizing SQL database schemas for large-scale analytics, and integrating with AI services for intelligent features like contract analysis.
Candidates should have over five years of professional experience leading complex, large-scale features. Proficiency in Go for production-grade services, including concurrency patterns and microservices architecture, is essential. Experience in building high-quality React applications with TypeScript, designing and implementing high-throughput APIs, and optimizing SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL) is required. Familiarity with cloud services (AWS preferred), containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (ECS, Kubernetes) is also necessary.
GoGuardian offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $155,000 to $195,000 per year, comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, and an employee equity plan.
