Senior Software Engineer - Java

Celonis is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Java to join our team in Bangalore, India. As a global leader in Process Intelligence technology, Celonis focuses on enhancing business processes through AI and data-driven solutions. The selected candidate will contribute to the development and support of our on-premise Process Mining application, facilitating a seamless transition to our SaaS platform.

In this role, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from investigation and implementation to delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining project stability and security, updating dependencies, and implementing new standards and protocols. You will also support on-premise customers migrating to the cloud-based Celonis Platform, improve and automate development processes, assist Level 3 Support in resolving complex issues, mentor team members, and help cultivate an inclusive engineering culture.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3-6 years of hands-on software engineering experience. Proficiency in Java, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks is essential. Experience in geographically distributed work environments, navigating enterprise challenges such as security and scalability, and working on microservices-based distributed systems is highly valued. Strong analytical skills and a curiosity for improving systems are also important.
