Senior Software Engineer, Platform
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Lattice Platform team, which is dedicated to building a comprehensive, integrated platform that enables efficient data management, task orchestration, and system-wide interoperability. Lattice serves as the foundation for Anduril's defense technology products, and the team is composed of talented engineers motivated to see their work rapidly deployed in real-world environments. The work spans core infrastructure, distributed systems, web development, networking, and other critical areas that form the backbone of Anduril's defense technology ecosystem.
In this role, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining foundational systems that power Anduril's defense technology products. This includes designing and implementing core infrastructure components, developing platform services that enable other software engineers to scale their output, and working with simulation, data management, compute infrastructure, and networking technologies. The engineer will collaborate with customers to deliver novel software capabilities and partner with team members in the autonomy domain to create technologies and processes that enable users to safely and rapidly develop and deploy autonomous systems at scale.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in an engineering environment, such as a startup or engineering school, and 5 years of experience working with a variety of programming languages, including Go, C++, Rust, Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript. They should have experience designing, developing, and integrating software for infrastructure, cloud, web, autonomy, or robotic applications, as well as a demonstrated ability to build platform and infrastructure tooling. Strong collaboration skills, particularly in the autonomy domain, are essential. The candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range for this role, estimated between $191,000 and $253,000 USD, based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations.
