Senior Software Engineer, RAIL
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Robot Autonomy Interface Layer (RAIL) team at Anduril Industries, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between mission autonomy and diverse hardware systems. In this role, you will own major feature development and rollout of large features for our products, collaborating closely with nearly every robotics team at Anduril. You will write and maintain core systems that all robotics platforms at Anduril will use, and work closely with our vehicle software teams during product development, understanding their needs, and delivering high-leverage software they can use to bring their products to market.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in C++ or Rust within a Linux development environment, with the expectation to learn Rust on the job if not already proficient. A Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization is essential, along with experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems. Additionally, experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems is necessary. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is also required.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range for this position, estimated between $191,000 and $253,000 USD annually. Actual salary offers may vary based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations.
