Senior Staff Engineer - Infrastructure and Architecture
Webflow is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join our team and build the next generation of agentic AI products. We've already shipped AI-powered experiences across our platform—from SiteBuilder to MCP, to many more. As we expand into more AI-driven products across a wider range of user scenarios, we need someone who can architect systems that scale across all of them—and own delivery end to end.
In this role, you will partner with engineering leadership, engineering managers, and product managers to define and deliver AI products across a broad set of user scenarios. You will architect scalable, high-performance systems that support a growing number of AI-powered products. Additionally, you will drive technical strategy and make architectural decisions that enable the team to ship more AI experiences faster.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems in high-availability, customer-facing environments. You should have deep expertise in distributed systems design, including consistency models, fault tolerance, scaling patterns, and observability. Hands-on experience designing and scaling multi-region environments in AWS or GCP is essential. Proficiency with containerized systems such as Kubernetes, EKS/GKE, or ECS, and fluency in infrastructure-as-code tooling like Terraform or Pulumi are also required.
Webflow offers a competitive compensation package tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. For candidates in the United States, the base pay ranges from $194,000 to $285,000, depending on location and experience. This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program, with target amounts varying by career level and based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.
As a remote-first company, Webflow is built on trust, transparency, and creativity. We believe the future of the web, and work, is more open, more creative, and more equitable. Our mission is to bring development superpowers to everyone, empowering teams to design, launch, and optimize for the web without barriers.
