Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineering
The Senior Technical Manager of Electrical Engineering leads Echodyne’s Analog & Mixed Signal (AMS) organization, responsible for architecting, designing, verifying, and sustaining the analog, digital/mixed-signal, power delivery, clocking, and high-speed interfaces that form the electrical backbone of Echodyne’s next-generation radar platforms. This leader combines deep technical expertise with people leadership, guiding the AMS team through the full hardware lifecycle—from concept and architecture through design, bring-up, verification, transition to manufacturing, and long-term sustainment. Reporting to the Senior Director of Electrical & RF Engineering, this leader balances technical ownership with organizational leadership, mentoring and developing engineers while remaining hands-on enough to influence architecture and solve complex cross-disciplinary challenges.
Key responsibilities include leading AMS architecture, schematic development, simulation, layout guidance, bring-up, and design verification. The role champions Design for Excellence (DFX) principles, ensuring robust transitions to manufacturing, and guides the team to own AMS subsystem performance across the product lifecycle, including root-cause investigations and corrective actions. Additionally, the manager leads trade studies, risk assessments, and design reviews across multiple radar programs.
Required qualifications include expertise with power management, clocking, ADC/DAC subsystems, high-speed digital interfaces, and signal/power integrity. Strong hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, verification, and manufacturing transition is essential. The candidate should have experience leading technical teams or engineering managers and delivering multiple hardware products through full lifecycle iterations. A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) and 10 or more years of analog and mixed-signal circuit design experience, including ownership of complex printed circuit assemblies, are required. Prior technical leadership or engineering management experience is also necessary.
The compensation for this position ranges from $145,300 to $217,900 annually. Echodyne offers competitive compensation and benefits to full-time, US-based employees, including RSU (Restricted Stock Units), fully-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums, mental health coverage, company-paid life insurance, flexible PTO, 401(k) match, and more. This is an exempt role.
