Senior Technical Program Manager - FinOps
Axon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join a dynamic team at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Finance. This role focuses on optimizing cloud spending decisions that align with the company's product and financial strategies. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, and follows a hybrid work schedule, emphasizing in-person collaboration from Tuesday through Friday.
The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead execution across product management, engineering, and design teams to develop data-driven project plans and schedules. Responsibilities include driving process improvements, managing dependencies, tracking risks and issues, and ensuring clear communication of project statuses. The role also involves building trust with senior leaders, working closely with technical staff across software and hardware engineering, and enhancing process and software architectural documentation.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, along with over seven years of professional experience in system or software delivery, including at least two years in a technical program management role. Required skills include a high degree of competency in project management methodologies, experience with enterprise SaaS or mission-critical software products, and familiarity with cloud IaaS and PaaS offerings such as AWS and Azure. Additionally, the role requires over two years of experience in Cloud FinOps engineering analysis and cloud cost optimization, as well as proficiency in financial analysis principles, SQL querying, and automation/development languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
