Shift Supervisor
The Shift Supervisor at PLS is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the store delivers outstanding customer service, meets operational objectives, and adheres to company policies. PLS, headquartered in Chicago, operates over 200 financial service centers across 12 states, offering convenient financial products and services to help customers manage their day-to-day financial needs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining exemplary customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and fostering a customer-centric culture within the store. The Shift Supervisor supports the Assistant Store Manager in implementing strategies to achieve store goals, develops and motivates team members, ensures compliance with regulations, and oversees daily operations such as transaction processing and cash handling. Additional duties involve coaching Customer Service Representatives, reviewing and approving checks, supporting marketing efforts, resolving customer complaints, managing schedules, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of management experience in industries like hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurants. The role requires strong customer engagement skills, the ability to build positive relationships, a desire to exceed corporate initiatives, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor. Flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. English fluency is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
