Shift Supervisor
The Shift Supervisor at PLS is a leadership role responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service, achieving operational objectives, and adhering to company policies. This position involves overseeing daily store operations and supporting the Assistant Store Manager in managing the team. PLS, headquartered in Chicago, operates over 200 financial service centers across 12 states, offering convenient financial products and services to help customers manage their day-to-day financial needs.
Key responsibilities include maintaining exemplary customer service, building strong customer relationships, and fostering a customer-centric culture within the store. The Shift Supervisor supports the Assistant Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals, develops and motivates team members, ensures compliance with regulations, and handles transaction processing and cash management. Additional duties involve coaching Customer Service Representatives, reviewing and approving checks, supporting store marketing efforts, resolving customer complaints, managing schedules, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, or restaurants. The role requires strong customer engagement skills, the ability to develop positive relationships, a desire to exceed corporate initiatives, excellent communication skills, and a professional appearance. Flexibility to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. English fluency is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
