Silicon Physical Design Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Silicon Physical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bristol or Cambridge, UK. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, sign-off ready chip designs using state-of-the-art EDA tools and Graphcore's in-house flows. Your day-to-day tasks will include enhancing existing design flows, analyzing and debugging complex engineering problems, and optimizing methodologies to achieve robust, high-performance, and power-efficient designs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architecture, packaging, and product engineering, will be essential to ensure seamless integration and successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and demonstrate strong motivation, self-starting capabilities, and teamwork. Essential skills include excellent problem-solving abilities, proficiency in programming or scripting (particularly in Tcl and Python), experience with 7nm or smaller technologies, and a comprehensive understanding of physical design flows such as floorplanning, synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, timing analysis, logical equivalence, and physical verification.
