KoBold Metals is seeking Software Engineers at all levels to join our Data Systems Engineering team. Our mission is to revolutionize mineral exploration by integrating advanced AI models and novel sensors to guide decisions in our exploration programs. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with geologists and data scientists to develop technology solutions that make mineral exploration data broadly accessible and actionable.

In this role, you will engage deeply with exploration geologists and data scientists to understand their needs and tailor technology development accordingly. Your responsibilities will include building data pipelines and tools to derive advanced insights from exploration data, often leading small teams of software engineers to successful project delivery. You will take end-to-end ownership of projects, from design and implementation to testing and ongoing engagement with exploration teams using your solutions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of software engineering experience, preferably in building production cloud data systems. Proficiency in Python is essential, along with the ability to write production-quality code that is correct, readable, well-tested, scalable, and extensible. Strong skills in large-scale system design and a track record of taking ownership of projects with demonstrated impact are also required. Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn about all aspects of mineral exploration, particularly in the geology domain, are highly valued.

The US base salary range for this full-time exempt position is $175,000 - $240,000. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in one of these countries.

Joining KoBold Metals means becoming part of a fast-growing, early-stage company that values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
