SVP, Finance
KoBold Metals is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to lead the company's global accounting, finance operations, and treasury functions in preparation for an initial public offering (IPO). Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role involves developing and executing a comprehensive roadmap to ensure the company's financial systems and processes are robust and scalable to support public company requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical accounting expertise, strategic acumen, and operational leadership skills to enhance existing systems across multiple jurisdictions without introducing unnecessary complexity.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of financial statements and accounting policies, leading a lean and scalable finance operations team, and managing global treasury operations encompassing cash planning, controls, and bank relationships. The SVP of Finance will also drive the selection and implementation of finance technology systems, such as ERP and accounting platforms, to support anticipated growth. Emphasis will be placed on fostering a culture of process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have experience preparing a company for an IPO and managing a public company finance function. A proven track record in leading efficient teams, integrating AI into finance workflows, and significant leadership experience in accounting and finance operations are essential. Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to align finance with commercial and operational needs are also required. A commercial mindset, integrity, and the ability to operate with urgency and precision are critical attributes for this role.
KoBold Metals offers a competitive base salary range of $250,000 to $300,000, along with equity incentives and benefits, including 401(k) matching. The company operates as a remote-first workplace, with candidates required to be legally authorized to work in specified countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, Finland, Sweden, or Botswana.
