Software Engineer, Engineering Ops
As a Software Engineer on the Engineering Operations team at Ridgeline, you will focus on automating and enhancing the operational infrastructure that ensures the company's systems run efficiently and reliably. This role involves collaborating across engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to build and maintain systems that are measurable, efficient, and scalable. In this position, your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing automation for critical operational workflows such as tenant provisioning, patch coordination, and configuration health. You will lead incident response efforts, develop post-incident improvement strategies, and create unified observability frameworks that encompass system health, financial metrics, and organizational effectiveness. Additionally, you will build and maintain dashboards and telemetry pipelines to support cost optimization and policy compliance.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering roles. A strong background in operational automation using tools like Python, Go, or Bash is essential, along with a deep understanding of observability stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, or OpenTelemetry. Practical experience in building financial operations dashboards, implementing cost tagging strategies, and developing anomaly detection workflows is highly desirable. Proficiency in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CDK is also required.
Ridgeline offers a competitive compensation package, including a targeted cash compensation range of $200,000 to $250,000.
