Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II at Axon, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance software systems that power Dedrone’s airspace security solutions. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to designing and implementing innovative technologies aimed at drone detection and mitigation, contributing directly to enhancing public safety and security.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance software systems for Dedrone’s core products. Your day-to-day activities will include contributing to the design of new features and system components, owning and delivering features end-to-end, collaborating closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders, actively participating in coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging, and supporting production systems to ensure reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with professional experience in building and operating backend or distributed systems. Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript are essential. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and a solid understanding of network communication protocols are also required. Familiarity with real-time or event-driven systems and secure coding practices is a plus.
