Software Engineer in Test I/ II
Axon is seeking a Software Engineer in Test I/II to join our team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing automated validation systems that ensure the flawless performance of Axon's cloud services, devices, and firmware in real-world scenarios. As a Software Engineer in Test, your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and extending automation frameworks and tools for firmware and device-level testing. You will develop automated validations for state machines, triggers, connectivity flows, telemetry, and device-to-cloud synchronization. Additionally, you will enhance CI/CD pipelines for firmware testing, including hardware-in-the-loop execution and device orchestration, and investigate firmware failures using logs, debug traces, serial output, and device metrics.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in test automation, software engineering, or SDET roles, with exposure to device or embedded systems. Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, C#, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, or Go is required. Hands-on experience testing firmware, embedded systems, or IoT hardware devices is essential, along with an understanding of state machines, event-driven systems, real-time execution, and hardware interactions. Experience diagnosing failures using logs, traces, and serial-level diagnostics, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated hardware test environments, is also necessary.
