Software Engineer, Meal Program (Remote)
As a Software Engineer on the Meal Program team at ezCater, you will take ownership of our web application, managing the entire end-to-end experience for our corporate clients and their employees. This includes launching innovative new features that solve real user needs and performing platform upgrades and routine maintenance to keep our systems scalable and secure. By ensuring the ordering, catering, and billing processes are seamless and efficient, you will help our customers provide high-quality food options while supporting local businesses and reducing food waste.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the Meal Program web application, including admin tooling, menu recommendations, order management, and billing systems. You will proactively manage the infrastructure and platform dependencies to ensure the application remains robust, secure, and scalable. Additionally, you will respond to corporate client and business needs by evolving existing products and identifying high-impact areas for new initiatives. Collaborating with our data technology team, you will transform complex data models into intuitive, user-facing features that simplify the ordering experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on a product engineering team and be comfortable navigating both the frontend and backend. Proficiency in fullstack technologies including Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, and TypeScript is required. A minimum of 3 years of development experience within a production codebase is necessary. Eagerness to learn new languages and stacks such as Go is a plus, as is existing experience with Go. Strong skills with SQL and a deep understanding of relational databases are essential. The candidate should have a product mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong appetite for learning, and a collaborative spirit.
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $125,200 - $148,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and region, and may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits such as equity, 401K, or medical, dental, or vision insurance.
