Software Engineer - Print Pipeline
Formlabs is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Desktop Software Team, focusing on developing world-class desktop 3D printer software with an emphasis on geometric algorithms. This role involves collaborating with R&D teams to integrate newly researched features into the production PreForm codebase, shipping value-generating features to tens of thousands of users by implementing and optimizing a wide range of complex algorithms, and working with Product Management teams to define the long-term feature roadmap.
Key responsibilities include developing world-class desktop 3D printer software with a focus on geometric algorithms, working with R&D teams to integrate newly researched features into the production PreForm codebase, shipping value-generating features to tens of thousands of users by implementing and optimizing a wide range of complex algorithms, and working with Product Management teams to define the long-term feature roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience writing C++ code for desktop applications, be ready to collaborate with a wide range of technical disciplines, including Software, Hardware, and Design teams, be experienced with object-oriented design and development, be excited to study computer science journal articles to supplement algorithm development, and have experience developing 3D graphics or computational geometry. Bonus skills include experience with solid mechanics or FEM and experience with image processing.

Full-time employees receive equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance with your impact. The annual base pay range for this role is $120,000—$170,000 USD.
