Software Infrastructure Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineer to join its dynamic team in Bristol, UK. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling and managing the company's infrastructure, developing essential tools and services that empower the broader software team. Your contributions will enhance the build, test, deployment, and productization processes of Graphcore's Machine Learning Software components, working with High-Performance Computing (HPC) AI platforms and gaining invaluable experience in distributed systems.
As a Software Infrastructure Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include developing, owning, and maintaining tools and services to support the software build and release process. You will deploy and maintain services using Kubernetes and Docker, and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing tools such as Terraform. Additionally, you will support the technical development of junior and graduate engineers, embodying a strong engineering discipline for high reliability and minimal toil.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Python, Go, or C++, and have experience deploying services in the cloud, preferably AWS. A deep understanding of Linux environments and native use of CI/CD for production deployments are essential. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or OpenTofu is also required. Desirable qualifications include experience using Kubernetes or OpenStack, familiarity with GitHub Actions, build tools such as CMake, and modern observability tooling like Prometheus and Grafana.
