Sr. Backend Engineer - Warehouse Integrations
The Warehouse Integrations team at LaunchDarkly is responsible for building infrastructure that enables customers to connect their enterprise data warehouses, unlocking advanced capabilities such as warehouse-native experimentation and real-time metrics. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in scaling this platform and expanding our warehouse integrations footprint. This position is critical to LaunchDarkly's strategy of meeting customers where their data resides and facilitating data-driven feature experimentation at scale.
In this role, you will architect and design scalable warehouse integration infrastructure that supports multiple enterprise data warehouse platforms and allows for systematic addition of new integrations. You will build and own core backend services and APIs that power warehouse connectivity, including data export pipelines, health checks, authentication flows, and operational monitoring. Additionally, you will drive technical excellence by establishing design patterns, frameworks, and best practices for warehouse integrations, and partner with cross-functional teams to define integration roadmaps and resolve technical blockers.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of professional backend software engineering experience, with a demonstrated track record of designing and shipping scalable, production-grade systems in complex domains. Proven expertise in distributed systems design and implementation is essential, along with strong programming proficiency in Go, Java, Rust, or C++. A solid understanding of domain modeling and system design principles, hands-on experience designing and building scalable APIs, and proficiency with observability best practices are also required. Familiarity with modern data warehouse and analytics platforms is a bonus.
