Sr. Product Manager - VR Workflows
As a Senior Product Manager at Axon, you will lead the development and execution of VR headset and tablet workflows tailored for frontline users and administrators. Your role involves defining how customers browse and configure content, set up their experiences, and navigate across multiple Axon applications and devices. This position is pivotal in enhancing usability for complex user workflows and eliminating adoption barriers, contributing directly to Axon's mission to protect life through innovative technology solutions.
Your primary responsibilities include leading product strategy, roadmap, and execution for headset and tablet user interfaces and multi-application workflows, encompassing content configuration, experience setup, and content navigation. You will define and own business metrics and goals, such as reducing user group setup time, minimizing administrative error rates, and improving navigation success rates. Collaborating closely with design teams, you will drive cross-application information architecture and data hierarchy decisions to ensure consistent content behavior across various platforms. Additionally, you will prototype, test, and implement usability improvements through usability studies, field visits, and iterative testing with customers.
The ideal candidate possesses over seven years of product management experience, specifically in shipping customer-facing UI and workflow features for complex systems, with a preference for hardware and software integration. Demonstrated expertise in improving configuration and setup workflows, multi-device user experiences, information architecture, or content management and navigation across applications is essential. Strong UX instincts and experience partnering with design teams to deliver measurable usability improvements are required. Technical fluency is necessary to effectively collaborate with engineers on device constraints, syncing, and data models, translating trade-offs to stakeholders. The role also demands comfort in working autonomously in ambiguous environments and influencing cross-functional partners. Experience with enterprise customers, including deployments, administrators, and integrators, and translating field constraints into product requirements is highly valued. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus. Periodic domestic travel of approximately 10–15 days per quarter is expected.
