As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Axon, you will play a pivotal role in developing a next-generation infrastructure provisioning and automation platform. This platform is designed to empower engineering teams to self-serve cloud infrastructure efficiently and securely, reducing manual effort and operational risk. Axon is dedicated to protecting life through innovative law enforcement systems, and your contributions will directly impact this mission.

In this role, you will build robust, user-friendly foundational platforms and tools that enable rapid, consistent, and secure infrastructure provisioning across multiple cloud providers. Your responsibilities include writing performant and maintainable code in Go, championing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, debugging cloud-native distributed systems, and educating the engineering organization on improved architectural patterns. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive documentation to promote self-service among engineers.

The ideal candidate possesses over five years of experience in software engineering or site reliability, with a strong background in building and scaling complex software products. Proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD, and managing infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is essential. Experience with programming languages like Go, Python, C#, or Java, along with designing tools to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems, is highly valued. Empathy and the ability to support the needs of software engineers are also crucial for success in this role.

Axon offers a competitive base salary and RSUs, a comprehensive pension plan with matching contributions, private health insurance, 30 days of paid holiday plus UK public holidays, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, a GymPass subscription, life assurance, income protection, career growth support, and wellness resources. The role is based in London, following a hybrid schedule with in-person collaboration from Tuesday to Friday and remote work on Mondays.
