Sr Technical UX Designer II, XR

Axon is seeking a Senior Technical UX Designer II to join their XR team in Seattle, Washington. This role focuses on designing and developing extended reality (XR) experiences, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), to enhance public safety solutions. The designer will be instrumental in mapping comprehensive customer journeys, ensuring consistency and reliability across all XR touchpoints.

Key responsibilities include leading the end-to-end product UX for XR experiences by creating high-fidelity Unity prototypes that validate design decisions and reduce development risks. The designer will develop reusable components and interaction templates to streamline future projects and collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate prototypes into final products. Additionally, the role involves leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to enhance development efficiency and integrating design systems into Unity to maintain consistency and scalability.

Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in product or UX design, with a strong background in XR interaction design and proficiency in Unity and C#. Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and a solid understanding of design systems are also required. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
