Staff Cloud Engineer
Graphcore is seeking an experienced Staff Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Team in London, UK. This role involves developing and deploying cloud services on our cutting-edge AI systems, collaborating closely with Software Platform, Datacentre Operations, and Product Development teams. The position offers an opportunity to work with both in-house AI systems and high-performance servers, switches, and storage solutions.
Key responsibilities include operating and extending existing OpenStack-based cloud services, developing and operating end-user services, and supporting internal users. The role also involves building automation to collect and analyze observability data, maintaining AI systems at peak performance, configuring and testing new AI hardware, and integrating third-party products into our Cloud Reference Design.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant subject, with solid infrastructure or IT experience. Required skills include Linux scripting (bash and Python), Linux system administration (Ubuntu, RHEL and variants), experience with version control systems (preferably Git), continuous integration or testing pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code automation tools (e.g., Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, Packer), and container deployment and management tools (e.g., Docker, Podman, Apptainer).
