Agility Robotics is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team focused on building a modern Software Delivery System. This role is integral to developing tooling, automation, and secure software delivery processes that support our next-generation industrial humanoid robotics. As part of a rapidly growing team, you will equip robotics, cloud, and test engineering teams with essential tools and systems to efficiently and safely build and deploy robot and edge software.

In this position, you will design, implement, and advance a release engineering system that ensures safe, reliable, and low-friction delivery across robots, cloud, and edge platforms. Your responsibilities will include owning tools, processes, and standards for secure, observable, high-confidence code-to-production deployment systems. Collaborating with Software, Hardware, Quality, Security, and Product teams, you will establish scalable release workflows and delivery standards, transforming requirements into automated, policy-driven delivery systems that infuse reliability, security, and compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in software, platform, or release engineering, with demonstrated Staff-level ownership and cross-team impact. Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD and build/release systems at scale as production infrastructure is essential. Strong expertise in build systems and artifact management, with experience in Bazel or similar large-scale build systems, is required. Additionally, a deep understanding of cloud-native systems, containers, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, Terraform or equivalent) is necessary.

This is a fully remote role with the option to work hybrid if within a commutable distance from our Salem, OR, Pittsburgh, PA, or Fremont, CA offices. The anticipated base salary range is $190,000 to $296,000 USD. Our competitive total rewards package includes a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, company stock options, 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, and short/long-term disability insurance for employees, flexible, unlimited PTO for exempt employees, and 10 company holidays, including a winter shutdown. Additional benefits include generous paid parental leave programs, professional development and tuition reimbursement programs, and relocation assistance for eligible roles.

Agility Robotics fosters a remote-first, high-trust culture, working with a strong, distributed engineering team focused on building reliable, production-grade systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to building and advancing the platform that delivers software to robots and edge systems in real-world environments. You will have a high-leverage impact, directly enabling faster, safer, and more reliable deployment of intelligent robotic systems at scale, while defining standards and driving adoption of delivery systems organization-wide.
