Staff Software Engineer, Justice
Axon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its Justice and Corrections team, dedicated to enhancing efficiency, accountability, and equity within the Criminal Justice and Corrections systems. In this role, you will collaborate with prosecutors, public defenders, and corrections officers to develop solutions that streamline workloads and ensure fair administration of justice, thereby positively impacting communities.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead major projects from design to production, set high standards of technical excellence, and provide deep insights during architectural design reviews. Your responsibilities include mentoring engineers to advance them to Senior and Staff levels, building high-availability and secure services, and staying current with the latest technologies and frameworks.
The ideal candidate possesses over 12 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in driving technical strategy across multiple teams. Expertise in building large-scale cloud services, proficiency in managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or C#, and experience with frontend technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular are essential. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, is also required.
Axon offers a competitive salary ranging from $168,750 to $270,000, depending on factors such as experience and geographic location.
