Staff Software Engineer – Product
Atlas HXM is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Product team. This senior individual contributor role focuses on building high-quality product systems, making sound technical decisions, and supporting other engineers through collaboration and example. The position is hands-on and does not involve people management. You will work closely with engineers, Product, and Design teams to deliver meaningful customer value while ensuring long-term maintainability and quality.
In this role, you will design and build complex, customer-facing product features and systems. You will take ownership of technical decisions within a product area or initiative and work closely with Product and Design teams to shape practical, scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to architectural discussions and technical direction across teams, maintaining a high bar for code quality through reviews and shared standards, supporting and mentoring other engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing, and participating in production support to help resolve incidents when needed.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working with autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and influencing outcomes through clear thinking and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building and maintaining production software, experience designing and delivering complex systems or features end to end, a solid background in modern web application development, experience with TypeScript and React or similar modern frontend technologies, backend experience with Node.js and/ (C#), experience working in a cloud environment (Azure preferred, but not required), familiarity with API design, data modeling, and system boundaries, and clear communication skills with a thoughtful, collaborative approach.
