Staff Software Engineer – Product
Atlas HXM is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the technical evolution of our product offerings. As a senior individual contributor, you will focus on building high-quality systems, making informed technical decisions, and mentoring fellow engineers. This hands-on role does not involve people management but emphasizes collaboration with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver meaningful customer value while ensuring long-term maintainability and quality.
In this position, you will design and build complex, customer-facing product features and systems, taking ownership of technical decisions within specific product areas or initiatives. You will work closely with product and design teams to develop practical, scalable solutions, contribute to architectural discussions, and maintain high code quality through reviews and shared standards. Additionally, you will support and mentor other engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing, and participate in production support to resolve incidents as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and maintaining production software, with a solid background in modern web application development. Proficiency in TypeScript and React, or similar frontend technologies, as well as backend experience with Node.js and/ (C#), is essential. Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably Azure, along with familiarity with API design, data modeling, and system boundaries, is also required. Clear communication skills and a thoughtful, collaborative approach are crucial for success in this role.
