Strategic Account Executive - Public Sector
As a Strategic Account Executive at Axon, you will be responsible for selling Axon's products and services to large and complex law enforcement and public safety agencies. This is a quota-carrying, external field position that requires the ability to articulate complex solutions, build and maintain senior-level relationships, navigate across customer agencies and units, and lead the Axon team to success. The position provides technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and product training.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing revenue and market share at designated agencies to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve Axon's strategic objectives. You will develop and maintain client relationships to drive revenue growth, execute account strategies by collaborating with the account team to deliver stronger, more relevant value propositions, and cultivate customer relationships to ensure effective service delivery. Additionally, you will oversee all account activities, provide customer product training as necessary, and be accountable for individual expense budget management.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful customer-facing software (SaaS/Cloud) sales experience and at least 3 years of experience managing a book of business of major accounts. Solution or consultative sales experience working within complex sales processes is essential. Proficiency in data management using Salesforce or similar CRM, a strong understanding of cloud and SaaS technologies, and the ability to clearly and directly articulate complex solution offerings across technical and non-technical audiences are required. The role also demands the ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight travel.
