The Strategic Account Manager, Central South, at Block (Square) is responsible for managing relationships with some of Square's largest sellers in the Food and Beverage sector. This role involves collaborating with business owners and C-level executives to address complex business needs across various verticals and channels. The position is based in New Orleans, LA, and offers a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of 150 to 175 strategic Food & Beverage sellers across Houston and the West Coast, driving account-based revenue growth through use-case expansion and cross-selling opportunities, and serving as the voice of the upmarket seller with product teams. The role also involves acting as a consultant to high-value restaurant sellers, identifying opportunities for technical solutions, partnering with Strategic Account Executives on high-growth deals, negotiating pricing for use-case expansion and retention, providing exceptional client service, and conducting quarterly business reviews with various stakeholders.

Candidates should have over five years of relevant account management experience, with a proven track record in managing, retaining, and growing a book of business. Exceptional discovery skills, a technical solutioning framework, and experience managing multiple projects internally with engineering, product, and finance teams are essential. Experience in contract and/or pricing negotiations with external senior stakeholders, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and creative and strategic problem-solving capabilities are also required. Restaurant experience and/or Food & Beverage technology experience are preferred.

Compensation for this role is market-based and varies depending on location. For the New Orleans area, the salary range is between $119,000 and $133,800 annually, including target variable compensation.
