The Strategic Accounts VP at Garner Health is a pivotal role within the Account Management team, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts. This position focuses on retaining and expanding relationships with some of Garner's largest employer clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service and achieve desired outcomes. Garner Health is a rapidly growing healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming the healthcare economy by delivering high-quality and affordable care through innovative benefit designs and data-driven insights.

In this role, the Strategic Accounts VP will own the processes for client retention and upselling, collaborating closely with account managers to provide outstanding client experiences. Responsibilities include becoming a trusted strategic partner to clients, advising on plan design, cost management, and overall plan performance. The VP will work to resolve strategic issues, establish and manage key broker and client relationships, monitor client health, and proactively address potential risks. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with product, data, and technology teams to deliver customized reports and presentations that demonstrate Garner's value and return on investment.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of health plan design and benefits, with experience advising large and enterprise employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance. A minimum of seven years in a commercially-oriented account management or sales role within the employee benefits space is required. The candidate should have a strong commercial focus, a proven track record of achieving retention and upsell targets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel up to 25% are also essential.

Compensation for this position includes a target salary range of $270,000 to $350,000 annually, inclusive of base and commission.
