Strategic Growth Partner
The Strategic Growth Partner (SGP) at Compass plays a pivotal role in driving the company's market expansion by generating new business opportunities and educating the Compass Agent Community on the importance of contributing to the organization's growth. This position is integral to the Strategic Growth team, which serves as the face of Compass and is central to its mission of revolutionizing the real estate industry through its end-to-end platform. The role is based fully on-site in Compass's Chicago, IL office.
Key responsibilities include generating new business opportunities to build the sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts. The SGP will conduct outreach directly to prospective agents via cold calls, texts, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns, and other methods. They will articulate Compass's value proposition and handle objections to create qualified opportunities in the market. Additionally, the SGP will work closely with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies, document all activities within the CRM to maintain flawless data management, and drive active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications. The role also involves collaborating cross-functionally to create and refine processes through innovative thinking, analyzing addressable markets in nascent geographies to create demand for disruptive technology, and becoming a critical part of the high-performing team by adding value to each Strategic Growth Manager's sales process.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating a history of strong performance in roles such as Sales Development Representative (SDR), Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, or Account Management. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, a glass-half-full mentality, and natural leadership qualities are essential. The ideal candidate will have a self-starter attitude, the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision, and comfort with ambiguity. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively lead client meetings and presentations, are required. Candidates must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple deadlines simultaneously, with a track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-demanding functional responsibilities.
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location, and the minimum wage for the position will always be met.
