Strategic Growth Partner
The Strategic Growth Partner (SGP) at Compass plays a pivotal role within the Strategic Growth team, which serves as the company's primary driver for market expansion. This position is based in Boston, MA, and requires full on-site presence. Compass, established in 2012, is transforming the real estate industry by providing a comprehensive platform that enables residential real estate agents to offer exceptional service to their clients.
In this role, the SGP is responsible for generating new business opportunities to build the sales pipeline through both inbound and outbound efforts. This includes direct outreach to prospective agents via cold calls, texts, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, and LinkedIn campaigns. The SGP articulates Compass's value proposition, handles objections to create qualified opportunities, and collaborates closely with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies. Additionally, the SGP documents all activities within the CRM, maintains flawless data management, drives active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications, and analyzes addressable markets in nascent geographies to create demand for disruptive technology.
Candidates for this position should possess a bachelor's degree and have at least 2 years of relevant experience with a history of strong performance in roles such as Sales Development Representative, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, or Account Management. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, a positive attitude, and natural leadership qualities are essential. The role requires a self-starter attitude, the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision, and comfort with ambiguity. Excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively lead client meetings and presentations, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously are also important. A track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-demanding functional responsibilities is highly valued.
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location, and the minimum wage for the position will always be met.
