Formlabs is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to enhance its global supply chain operations. This role is integral to the Manufacturing team, focusing on sourcing high-quality components that are essential to the company's 3D printing products. The position is based in Boston, MA, and involves direct collaboration with suppliers to ensure product excellence and reliability.

The Supplier Industrialization Engineer will work closely with the Research and Development team to identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductions. Responsibilities include managing supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution to secure optimal value and mitigate risks. The role also involves facilitating communication of technical requirements between suppliers and the R&D team, proactively researching new manufacturing technologies, and developing robust supply chain strategies. Additionally, the engineer will lead supplier manufacturing process development and ensure launch readiness for new products and design changes.

Candidates should have 1-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering roles. A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering is required. The role demands excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. High attention to detail and strong data analysis skills are essential. The position requires up to 20% international travel for supplier audits and relationship building.
