Support Agent - X Payments
xAI is seeking a dedicated Support Agent to join the X Payments team in Bastrop, TX. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries related to accounts, transactions, cards, payments, disputes, and app functionality. The ideal candidate will embody xAI's commitment to trust and excellence, providing professional and empathetic support across voice, chat, and email channels.
Key responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries with clarity and precision, troubleshooting complex issues, handling disputes and fraud claims accurately, and documenting all interactions thoroughly. The Support Agent will also proactively identify and report technical or recurring issues to internal teams to drive platform improvements. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company policies, regulatory requirements, and platform updates is essential to provide accurate and compliant information.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in customer support, preferably in fintech, banking, or a fast-paced digital environment. Proven experience managing customer interactions via phone, chat, and email is required, along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in support platforms such as ACD systems, ticketing tools, CRMs, and knowledge bases are also necessary. Flexibility to work US shift hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call availability, is expected.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with financial services, debit/credit cards, mobile apps, or payment platforms. A strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm for resolving complex customer issues, and a proactive attitude are highly valued. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a sense of humor are also desirable traits.
