Systems Engineer, Open Architecture, Active Clearance
Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Model-Based Systems Engineering team, focusing on developing autonomous airpower systems for demanding environments. This role involves guiding our Digital Engineering strategy and collaborating with Modeling and Simulation, Product Engineering, and Business Development teams to support the development, delivery, and sustainment of open architectures and associated enterprise products.
As a Systems Engineer, you will interface with both internal programs and external customers to develop artifacts based on stakeholder needs. You will work closely with functional areas to ensure these artifacts are complete and accurate, often serving as contractual deliverables demonstrated at stakeholder meetings and events. This position is critical in showcasing Anduril's capabilities in Systems Engineering and Mission Systems Integration.
The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science, or a similar engineering or technical field, along with at least 2 years of Systems Engineering experience across the life cycle. A basic understanding of modular open systems approaches (MOSA) in defense systems, knowledge of software architectures, and experience with requirements analysis and system design in a government context are essential. Proficiency with SysML, DoDAF, UAFP, or similar, as well as experience developing various model-based system engineering artifacts and using tools like Cameo MagicDraw, is required. Outstanding communication skills and an active U.S. Secret security clearance are also necessary.
The salary range for this role is $166,000 to $220,000 annually, with actual offers varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
