Graphcore, a leader in Artificial Intelligence computing systems, is seeking a Tech Director for Post Silicon Validation to join their team in Bristol, UK. This role involves leading the validation of next-generation AI system-on-chip (SoC) designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and functionality before production deployment. The successful candidate will collaborate across silicon, firmware, and platform levels to enable pre-production software to run reliably on new silicon.

Key responsibilities include defining and leading the post-silicon validation strategy, developing and refining validation approaches for AI SoCs, and ensuring timely delivery of validated silicon. The role also involves driving cross-domain debugging and issue resolution, promoting collaboration among design, software, and validation teams, advancing automation and scalable validation processes, and engaging with leadership and customers to provide updates on validation progress and product readiness.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with a Master's preferred, and have over 20 years of experience in silicon, system, or platform validation, including more than 10 years in technical leadership. Proven experience in leading post-silicon validation and bring-up for complex SoCs (AI, GPU, or CPU) is essential. A strong understanding of SoC architecture, coherency protocols, power management, and interconnects is required, along with expertise in debug tools, DFT infrastructure, and validation automation frameworks. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux-based environments is also necessary.
